The children love sports at St James’ and growing extra-curricular activities allow them to take part in many sporting activities. Our focus is on making sport enjoyable and accessible to all children as well as providing opportunities to represent the school in a range of sports competitions.

We try to offer a range of clubs at St James’. These vary throughout the year and this year will include: boys’ and girls’ football, basketball, judo, gymnastics, cross-country, rugby, hockey, athletics and Multi-sport games.

A new initiative this year is the FunFit programme of early morning activity the aim of which is to maximise classroom potential through physical exercise.

We are very proud of all our children and their sporting achievements. They work well as a team and produce results we can all be very proud of. Our aim is to increase our participation in sporting events within the borough this year.
