"Thank you for bringing the children to City Hall. I very much enjoyed meeting you all. Please could you thank the children for me for all the great ideas they shared with me."
Gareth Bacon, Leader, GLA Conservatives, London Assembly Member for Bexley & Bromley

"The children were an absolute pleasure to have at City Hall. They asked some of the best questions I’ve had for ages and were a real credit to the school."
Richard Nicholson, Education Visits Coordinator at City Hall

"I just wanted to say thanks so much for having me at your wonderful school on Tuesday. It was so nice to meet you and it was an absolute pleasure to work with your Year 6, Year 5, and Year 4 pupils, who are clearly all very compassionate and motivated young people."
WE Schools Speaker

"Just wanted to say how very much we enjoyed the visit from Year 4 this afternoon. They were very polite and perfectly behaved and gave some wonderfully insightful answers to our questions. We were so impressed!

They were also very good at spotting the differences between the interior of our church and the one which they are most familiar with. Please let them know how much we enjoyed having them visit us."
Petts Wood United Reform Church

"We would like to thank the children. They are a credit to St James'. Their politeness and behaviour were excellent."
The Petts Wood Ladies Club

"Please do pass on my appreciation to the School Choir as they sang beautifully and the feedback I received from the Dementia Cafe guests was so positive - they certainly helped to brighten many people's day."
The Bromley Dementia Support Hub

"Lunch with the children was delightful. They had very good table manners and there was a calm and respectful atmosphere in the dining area."

"Very good communication. The school always keeps us well informed. I could not be happier."

“My family has benefitted hugely from the After School Club for the entire time they have been at St James’. I was just reflecting today on what a blessing it has been – and how much my children have gained from it. It’s not just a safe environment for them to wait for their parents. It’s so much more.

They get a chance to socialise with other adults, and with children of all ages.  They get a chance to expand their friendship groups, and develop their character – caring for younger children, including them in play, chatting over breakfast etc.  They also really enjoy the games and activities – my boys loved the crispy cake making today, but also love playing games like dodge-ball indoors on a rainy day.

Needless to say screen time is also popular, but I really appreciate the focus on giving some time for homework too. I would not hesitate to recommend the club to other parents, and cannot thank the staff enough for everything they do.  Thanks again for this brilliant addition to the school.”

“St James' is a terrific local school which I greatly enjoyed visiting.”
Jo Johnson MP

“St James’ has always been a favourite school for us to visit.”
Orpington Astronomical Society
